IT gaint Infosys chairman Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murthy from Infosys foundation were one among early voters who casted their vote at a polling station in Jayanagar, Bengaluru.

As per the Election Commission, voter turnout of 65.69 per cent was recorded in the ongoing Karnataka Assembly polls till 5 pm.

Voting is in state to elect members to the 224-seat assembly has ended. It began at 7 am and ended at 6pm.

Expressing confidence CM Basavaraj Bommai said, exit polls are exit polls, it can't be 100% correct. We are going to get a complete majority and form the government. I think we should wait till 13th May.

I am very much confident that we will come back to power with an absolute majority, I am 200% confident. Exit polls are done in a hurry, and there will be lots of errors. There is no question of anybody becoming the kingmaker, for me the people are the kingmaker and they will bring BJP back to power, said CM Bommai.

Congress leader Siddaramaiah on Karnataka elections said, Congress party will get a comfortable majority...I will win comfortably in Varuna constituency.
